Ghostly figures from Camberley’s medical history……

I had only just started my other blog – Camberley Observed, when I came across these copper plates which appear to be from a local paper article about the opening of the Frimley District Cottage Hospital in 1909.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t think of any way of printing from them, although I managed to produce a ghostly image of the nurses with a little digital magic.

In the end, I gave them to a local amateur photographer, who promised to keep them safely.
