Practical – not modern architecture at its best?

Osnaburgh 3

From yesterday’s buildings to todays we have moved to the top of the hill and this section has seen a great many changes.  Nearly all the higgledy piggledy Victorian buildings have been swept away and replaced with custom built offices, flats and shops.  Where once Thomas Tew the butcher served a very local clientele the offering is now more specialised and must be drawing in customers from a larger area.

This particular building is on the site of the gardens of Osnaburgh House, more of which tomorrow……..
