We have our own time machine!

Camberley postcard 10

….and now we find ourselves in the Camberley of the 1960s.  Still a wide expanse of grass beside the RMA (I think the road was widened in the early 1970s).  Pages (which became Allders) have a London Road entrance in the building with the semi-circular side window., which links to their modern store around the corner.  The distinctive window building used to be the Post Office but that moved further west in the 1930s.  Verran the butchers is the business on the far left – the owner merits an entire week’s worth of posts one of these days………

By the way, Moss Bros moved from here to the High Street in about 1990 (can anyone date this more accurately?) but is due to close/relocate soon.
