Hospital Carnival 1

 

In 1939, the hospital funding raising committee held a Camberley Carnival and this advertisement is taken from the programme.  Events started on Sunday July 9 with an open air church service.  On Monday the Carnival Queen was crowned and then the fun really started – literally with a fun fair.  After that, the Agincourt was the venue for what was probably quite a competitive event (£5 was a considerable sum of money).
