Do you need some jobbing work to be promptly executed?

Hospital Carnival 6

Where is St Mary’s Works, you may be asking – I think it was just by the railway bridge as that’s where St Mary’s church (then a ‘tin tabernacle’) was originally built.

This page of adverts from the 1939 Hospital fundraiser Carnival programme also includes Princess Street, which has now become the pedestrianised Princess Way.  Percy Holloway’s business was by the Brown Jug pub and both were demolished for the town’s re-development in the 1960s/1970s.  They were roughly where the Post Office is now.
